Amazon made a small dumpling yesterday inadvertently revealing on its website a new Kindle Paperwhite should be formally introduced in the next few days or in the coming weeks. More than a trivial mention escaped from a piece of source code, it’s downright a complete description of the reading light that is found online for a few minutes. Since everything is obviously back in order, but they did not count on the reactivity of Engadget editors who had the time to take a nice capture to capture this moment of grace. The giant e-commerce, for its part, did not have a choice and thus had to formalize his new reading light.
History locate things a bit, the Kindle Paperwhite was presented by Amazon last year. He also caused a sensation and this is normal since it integrates a home lighting system that illuminates the screen reading light in all circumstances. Practical and easy to make, so this means it is possible to use it in complete darkness, it is not possible with more traditional reading lights. At least not without extra light.

The new Kindle Paperwhite look like two drops of water to the previous generation. At least in terms of design, because it will be very different from its technical specifications. If one believes the video posted by Engadget, this new reading light effectively integrate a 25% faster processor as the old model. Better still, it even benefit from a new lighting technology that will improve the contrast of the screen. In any event, the new Paperwhite should be more enjoyable to read, and also more responsive.

And the price then? The WiFi model will be proposed at € 129 against € 189 for the 3G model.
