While Amazon has refused to give precise figures, the Kindle Fire is one of its best sellers. There was one year, the giant e-commerce added an HD model to its family of tablets. This Sept. 25, 2013, completes the range with the third generation of Kindle:. HDX Kindle Fire

Available in two versions 7 and 8.9 inches (with respective definitions of 1980 x 1200 pixels and 2560 x 1600 pixels), the Kindle Fire HDX features a quad processor clocked at 2.2 GHz, 2 GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 graphics chip. Amazon announced a range of 11 hours and climbs to 17 hours if the tablet is only used to read digital books. The consumer has the choice between three storage capacities: 16, 32 or 64 GB

Another feature of the new Kindle is that Amazon has chosen to operate in a proprietary OS by the name of Fire OS, designed on the basis of Android 4.2. It “introduces hundreds of new features and changes, exclusive Amazon services, software updates and more» says Amazon in its statement.
