Noting that the industry refuses to understand the futility of digital locks, a jolly fellow has made up his mind to get into their head that this is useless.

case is not really to be taken seriously but in the sense of the artwork activist Peter Purgathofer, lecturer at the Technical University of Vienna (Austria), has decided to fight against DRM digital reading lights his way. To do this, the teacher has used robotics range of Danish manufacturer Lego Mindstorms, a Macbook and a character recognition software. Specifically, the DIY Kindle Scanner can and completely autonomously replicate an entire Kindle book, without any digital lock there is then associated.

Purgathofer “this should not be interpreted as a manual or an incentive but rather as an experience of awareness of consciences” , adding that his experience also serves to prove the futility of DRM, as they ultimately prove easy to circumvent. For now, the teacher / artist would have scanned one book and be careful not to share, so as not to skew its interesting message.
