Amazon: Kindle a 3D Phone? - MacNN

- JPEG - 54.8 kb

Amazon account go beyond the shelves. The ambition of the distributor is known for a while, but the Wall Street Journal provides some grist for the rumor, citing two amazing projects that are in the pipe Lab126, R & D manufacturer. The first is a high-end smartphone with a screen displaying stereoscopic images , without the aid of glasses. The process is not new (think of the Nintendo 3DS, for example), but the technology is very intriguing: the camera eyes of the user follows to calculate the real-time image. All would like a holographic effect, as in Star Wars … which would still be pretty cool, although practical side, it is less obvious.

The other product is an audio player connected to the music service Amazon streaming, either wi-fi or 3G/4G. Amazon already has some experience with cellular networks, you can for example think of Kindle Fire HD 4G pledged a Verizon.
All these projects, which could never be revealed to the public plan, known as nickname Alphabet Projects, each terminal being called Project A, B, C, etc..
