This week was undoubtedly marked by the Apple Keynote, among other revealing its new generation tablet with Retina iPad Mini. As a reminder, Apple is still in the lead in terms of sales of tablet, however, is calibrated by other manufacturers that begin increasingly gaining ground as Google with its Nexus 7 with 2 or even Amazon’s Kindle Fire HDX (if you want to see the ranking of manufacturers who sell more tablets, we invite you to take a look at this article.) We believe it is time to compare these three tablets, especially in terms of their technical characteristics.

View

One of the greatest shortcomings of the first iPad Mini is probably the resolution of the screen which proposed a resolution which was much lower than the rest of its generation. Apple has tried to correct the shot with this new generation of Retina iPad Mini now implementing a Retina display with the resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. An even more interesting resolution because the pixel density stands at 324 dpi 323 dpi against the Google Nexus 7 2013. The iPad Mini Retina is ahead in terms of display compared to the Amazon Kindle Fire and the Nexus 7 HDX 2013, which both offer a definition in Full HD.

I remind you that the Nexus 7 2 and the Kindle Fire HDX both have a 7-inch screen with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, while the iPad Mini Retina offers a Retina display 7.9 inches with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels.

Processor

In terms of processors, it is very difficult to compare these 3 shelves. As you probably know, the Mini iPad 2 is equipped with the same processor as the iPhone 5S, providing a 64-bit SoC A7. Although the architecture used by Apple is more than questionable (see this article for more information), it must not be forgotten that this is a first in the world of mobile devices, and that performance is course to rendezvous.

Then the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX on the other hand has the chance to be equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 namely that the power is more to prove. Finally, the Nexus 7 2 comes in third place with its Snapdragon S4 Pro that starts a little older, but provides enough power to run all the applications and games that I submitted for the moment.

Price

class=”c4″>

Nexus July 2013 is definitely in first place with a price of around € 229 for the 16 GB version The price of the Kindle Fire away HDX is also not the price, but which may be more attractive to some people considering the online service at any time via a video chat. However, Amazon’s application store does not offer as many applications than Google and even less compared to Apple, but its usefulness is probably elsewhere.

Finally, Apple is deemed by the often exorbitant price of its devices. Currently, the price of the iPad Mini (first name) is always displayed about 300 € which is still a lot for an average end device out there one year. The iPad Mini Retina was unable either to escape this price range because the 16 GB version will be sold at 400 euros.
