Amazon launched tonight a new Kindle called Travel. Intended to eventually replace the Paperwhite, this reading light offers everything that makes the interest of the manufacturer’s range, plus light and thin.
Travel Kindle has a 6-inch touchscreen (300 ppi) with “sensitive” borders to the pressure. Called “PagePress” this technology can move from one page to another – Amazon pushes it far enough, since a slight vibration will be felt when “support” on one side or the other
The regular reader will also find a light sensor to adjust the screen according to the environment. The Reader offers a super-slim design (7.6 mm) and weighs 180 grams. It has 4 GB of storage, or “hundreds of pounds” for a range of 6 weeks. Two models are available: one with Wi-Fi starting at $ 199, the other with 3G in addition to $ 269
