After Apple, Amazon? Television seems to be the next target of these two companies. While there are rumors of a possible iTV for months, Bloomberg says Amazon could launch a TV box next fall.

According to three sources who wish to remain anonymous, the Seattle-based company would work to “Kindle TV”. This box connected to a TV give access to video-on-demand (VOD) from Amazon.

series and applications

The group has big ambitions in the field. As the U.S. VOD service Netflix, which now produces its own series (House of Cards), Amazon has launched fourteen different pilot episodes. Viewers choose which of them will lead to the production of a complete series.

But the Kindle universe already accessible from the shelves of the same name, also offers application store. Nothing would stop to make some available on TVs. The price of the whole could be more aggressive, Amazon hardware manufacturer to sell everything before the content it offers upstream.
