the rumor of the day. After the successful launch of its Kindle e-readers and tablets, the Amazon giant ambitionnerait landed on the connected TV market.
According to Bloomberg that the information relates, Amazon plancherait on developing a connected TV box. The Kindle TV could be presented on the North American market next fall. It would allow the web-merchant to promote access to its various content and services, including its video on demand.
Recently, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos stated that VOD offers valid in Europe and France should be available sometime in 2013.
Kindle TV could compete with other devices with similar functions such as Apple TV or Roku and Boxee boxes Cloud DVR. The device is being developed as part of the Amazon subsidiary Lab126 known to be behind the development of the Kindle.
