Suzi Levine was sworn in on 30 May the White House.

technology enters all the more ceremonial. areas even Suzi LeVine is thus the first U.S. ambassador to be sworn on an electronic device instead of the U.S. Constitution in its paper version as shown in the photo tweeted by the U.S. Embassy in London June 2, 2014.
At a ceremony held at the White House in the presence of Joe Biden, Vice President of the United States, Suzi LeVine has laid hands on a Kindle reading light displaying the first page of 19 th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which prohibits any U.S. citizen to be denied the right to vote because of their sex.
If this is a first for an ambassador, Suzi LeVine is not the first U.S. official to swear hand on an electronic device. Earlier this year, an official of the Nassau County (NY) and New Jersey firefighters were sworn in by hand on an electronic version of the Bible downloaded to an iPad. Nobody had been able to find a paper version for the ceremony.
